How we check

One question per page, as people actually type it. An honest yes, partly or not really, the real things that do it (mostly not ours), what they cost, and the catch.

The three answers

Where the facts come from

Free tiers, prices, platforms and catches are read from each thing’s own pages, help centre or app store listing, and every one is cited by number in the page’s sources with the date we checked it. Where we couldn’t confirm a price or a free tier, the page says “not checked” instead of guessing. Prices are shown in the currency the vendor shows them in. Each page says what we read and what we haven’t tested yet.

Ours, labelled

Where one of our products fits, it sits in the list with an “ours” label, never forced to the top. Not affiliated with any product listed unless marked “ours”. No affiliate links. Prices checked on the date shown and can change.

Outbound links to third-party products are rel=“nofollow”.

What people ask

The questions come from Google’s autocomplete. Autocomplete has no volumes: the counts on this site are counts of unique suggested phrases, a breadth proxy only, never searches.
