How we checked
What we read, and what we haven't tested yet.
On 2026-10-02 we read Adobe's Photoshop Generative Fill page and UK plans page, Google's 2024 announcement of its free Google Photos editing tools, the Pixlr homepage, and Photoroom's pricing page, homepage and UK App Store listing. We also read the Product Photo Shots homepage. Canva and Picsart aren't included because their pages couldn't be read on the day. Nothing was tested hands-on.
If none of these fit
The manual way.
If you only need product photos, Photoroom (above) is built for them. Our own Product Photo Shots is narrower still: it makes AI lifestyle product shots from one photo of your real product, from £19 for 3 shots. It's only for products you own or sell, and it doesn't handle well-known branded products. We left it off the shortlist because it doesn't edit general photos.
