Yes. HeyGen, ElevenLabs and Rask AI translate and dub uploaded videos in a cloned voice, each with a small free allowance. YouTube can auto-dub your own uploads too, but only for eligible creators and a set list of languages.

## The shortlist

### HeyGen Video Translate

An AI video translator that dubs an uploaded video or a YouTube link into another language with a cloned voice, lip sync and subtitles.

- Link: https://www.heygen.com/translate
- Free tier: yes. Free plan, no card: 3 videos a month up to 1 minute, 30+ languages, limited trial of lip-sync translation; HeyGen adds its watermark to free videos (watermark removal starts on Creator). HeyGen's translator page FAQ says free videos can be up to 3 minutes, so the two pages disagree.
- Paid from: $29 per month, Creator (checked 2026-10-02; $24 per month if paid annually; Pro from $49 per month)
- Best at: Lip-synced translation of talking-head video, with 175+ languages and dialects on paid plans.
- The catch: Free videos carry a HeyGen watermark and are limited to 1 minute in 30+ languages on the pricing page; editing and proofreading the translation script starts on Pro ($49 per month).

### ElevenLabs Dubbing

AI dubbing that translates speech in video or audio into 90+ languages, in a voice clone of the original speaker.

- Link: https://elevenlabs.io/dubbing-studio
- Free tier: yes. $0 plan with 10k credits a month: about 0.4 minutes of Dubbing v2, or 5 minutes of watermarked v1.
- Paid from: $6 per month, Starter (checked 2026-10-02; first month $1 until 18 October; excludes taxes)
- Best at: Dubbing that carries over tone and emotion: ElevenLabs says Dubbing v2 works from the original audio, not a transcript.
- The catch: Only 0.4 free minutes a month of Dubbing v2; Free plan dubs carry a watermark; the commercial licence starts on Starter.
- Platforms: web

## How they compare

### If you want lip sync on talking-head video
HeyGen Video Translate dubs an uploaded video or a YouTube link into another language with a cloned voice, lip sync and subtitles. Paid plans reach 175+ languages and dialects, which matters if your audience is spread across many countries.

The Free plan, with no card needed, is a trial: 3 videos a month up to 1 minute each, in 30+ languages, with a limited trial of lip-sync translation, and HeyGen adds its watermark to free videos. Its translator page says free videos can run to 3 minutes, which does not match the pricing page. Creator at $29 a month, or $24 a month paid annually, opens up 30-minute videos and the full language list. The catch is that editing and proofreading the translation script only starts on Pro, at $49 a month, so on the cheaper plans you cannot correct the script it works from.

### If you care most about tone and emotion
ElevenLabs Dubbing translates speech in video or audio into 90+ languages, in a voice clone of the original speaker. ElevenLabs says Dubbing v2 works from the original audio, not a transcript, so tone and emotion carry across. That is the company's claim; we did not test it.

What you give up is free minutes. The $0 plan has 10k credits a month, and those credits are shared across every ElevenLabs product. Its pricing page says Dubbing v2 costs 13,500 credits per minute on paid plans and 22,000 on Free, so the free credits come to about 0.4 minutes of Dubbing v2, or 5 minutes of the older v1 with a watermark. Starter at $6 a month, with the first month at $1 until 18 October and prices excluding taxes, gets you 2 minutes of Dubbing v2 plus the commercial licence. That is enough for a test rather than a series.

### If you translate a lot of video every month
Rask AI is a video and audio localisation platform covering transcription, translation into 135 languages, voice cloning and lip sync. It sells plans by the minute: Creator is 25 minutes a month at $39, Creator Pro is 100 at $99, and Business is 250 at $249. It has a built-in editor, plus SRT download and upload.

The catch is that voice cloning covers 32 of those 135 languages, and lip sync is listed from Creator Pro, so the $39 plan does not include it. The free trial is 3 minutes, with no card needed. There is also a yearly option at $28 a month billed $329, listed as a limited offer.

### If you publish on YouTube
YouTube's automatic dubbing is a YouTube Studio feature that is on by default for eligible creators and generates translated audio tracks when you upload, marked as auto-dubbed. Viewers can switch between the original and dubbed audio, and you can review dubs before publishing. YouTube's help page names no price.

The limits are tight. The help page table lists 20 dubbing languages for English originals, while most other originals dub only into English, though YouTube says support is expanding and the Languages page in YouTube Studio shows what each video can get. Videos over 120 minutes are ineligible, and dubs cannot be edited. You get convenience and give up control.

### When paying is worth it
Free allowances suit a test: HeyGen gives 3 one-minute videos a month, ElevenLabs about 0.4 minutes of Dubbing v2, and Rask a 3-minute trial. Run one clip of your own through whichever tool matches your need and listen to the result before paying.

Paying makes sense when that clip sounds right and you have more of the same coming. Paid entry points are ElevenLabs Starter at $6 a month for 2 minutes of Dubbing v2, HeyGen Creator at $29 for longer lip-synced video, and Rask Creator at $39 for 25 minutes a month.

## What to watch for

YouTube says its automatic dubs might contain errors from mispronunciations, accents, dialects or background noise, may struggle with proper nouns, idioms and jargon, and cannot be edited. If your video is full of product names or specialist terms, that is a real risk.

On ElevenLabs, Free plan dubs carry a watermark, and the commercial licence is added on Starter, not Free. If you plan to use a dub commercially, the free plan does not cover it.

Rask's pricing page carries a countdown banner saying prices are changing soon, so check the price on the day before you buy a yearly plan.

None of the pages we read offers translating a live stream or call as it happens. Each tool here works on an uploaded video or link and returns a translated file. If you only have audio, ElevenLabs says its dubbing works on audio as well, and Rask offers audio localisation with voice cloning.

## How we checked

On 2026-10-02 we read the pricing pages of HeyGen, ElevenLabs and Rask AI, HeyGen's translator page, ElevenLabs' Dubbing page and YouTube Help on automatic dubbing. We left Dubverse out because its pricing page contradicted itself. Nothing was tested hands-on.

## If none of these fit

If you only need the words, not a new voice, [translated subtitles](/an-ai-that-can-add-subtitles-to-a-video/) may do: Rask lists automated captions and subtitles and SRT download and upload, and HeyGen says it can add subtitles. YouTube's page warns that automatic dubs may struggle to translate proper nouns, idioms and jargon, so for anything that matters, have a fluent speaker check the result.
